Missing: My Energy! If found, please return

Hello Lovelies! I know it's been a while since I last posted and up until a couple days ago I've been pretty quite on Instagram too. I don't know what's been with me lately but I've just been so drained! I don't usually say this but I'm officially shopped out. No more shopping for me! I'm done, it's time for a break. Even my fashion style has been lazy, which is completely unlike me. It's been shirt dresses, stockings, and little makeup these last couple weeks. I know dresses aren't exactly lazy but I don't do pants well. So with that I've been a bit behind on posts. Lately if I'm not shopping or wrapping presents, trying new vegan meals or cleaning my house like a crazy woman, I'm vegging in front of the tv. I suppose we all need a little mental unwind. Actually I love editing photos in my spare time but since I've been struggling to find my go it's been a netflix binging sort of week.
I've also been a bit under the weather lately. Do you just have days when you feel off or in a mental fog? I'm sure this will pass after my family leaves and I don't have to entertain anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love having family and friends visit. This gal needs social interaction. I'm extremely excited for Christmas and hosting another family get together but it's always nice to throw on the pjs, eat left overs, and not feel the need to entertain.
On a more positive note, who's ready for Christmas?! I couldn't be more excited. I love seeing the excitement on my girls faces when they come downstairs for the first time and see all the presents under the tree. Other than gifts for friends and family we keep all the other gifts hidden till the night before. Seeing the surprised look on their faces is the best. Also seeing the look on my husbands face as he disapproves of how much I bought is always interesting too. Haha. I'm such a sucker for giving gifts. Traditionally we let the girls open a gift the night before. That gift is usually carefully selected to be a new pair of pjs or outfit to wear the next day. On Christmas, our girls are not allowed out of their rooms till we get up. We are not early risers so it's tourture for them to wait. Usually around 8:30-9 we get up and make cinnamon rolls and coffee. It's a simple tradition but one I love. After unwrapping gifts and cleaning up it's a scramble to make dinner and get dressed before guests arrive.
Days before Christmas we make our girls completely gut their room and go through everything that doesn't fit or they no longer use. Those things we donate. If they don't have their rooms cleaned before Christmas they aren't allowed to bring their new presents into their room. It's been a good way keep on top of messes and teach responsibility to the girls. Piper's still fighting the good fight against the tyranny of her parents and cleaning her room. Which is really odd because she's always eager to help me around the house in any way BUT cleaning her room. Typical... Chloie on the other hand completely has that rule down and is totally on it weeks before. Do you have any special Christmas or holiday traditions? I'd love to hear them!
If I don't get to posting again before friday, Merry Christmas and happy holidays. God Bless!
